Program details
Decision-making under pressure
This two-day workshop is built for managers who regularly face time-sensitive decisions with incomplete information. Think operations leads dealing with supply disruptions, project managers handling scope changes mid-sprint, or department heads allocating budget during a freeze.
Day one introduces a four-step decision framework: frame the problem, identify constraints, generate two options (not five), and commit with a review trigger. Participants practise each step using short simulations drawn from real scenarios submitted by their own organisations before the workshop.
Day two raises the stakes. We run a half-day live simulation where participants work in pairs under genuine time pressure, with facilitators introducing new information mid-exercise. The afternoon is a structured debrief where each pair receives written feedback on their decision quality, speed, and communication clarity.
- Pre-workshop diagnostic questionnaire (15 minutes)
- Two full days of facilitated training (9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.)
- Printed workbook and decision framework card
- Three 30-minute group check-in calls over the following 90 days
Coaching skills for managers
Most managers know they should coach their reports. Few have been taught how. This program runs as four half-day sessions, spaced one week apart, so participants can practise new techniques with their actual teams between sessions.
Session one covers the difference between coaching and advising. Managers learn a questioning model that helps them resist the urge to jump straight to solutions. We record short role-plays and review them together so participants can hear their own patterns.
Sessions two and three focus on feedback delivery and development planning. Participants draft a real development plan for one of their direct reports during the session, then test it in the intervening week. The group reconvenes to discuss what worked and what fell flat.
Session four addresses difficult conversations: underperformance, interpersonal conflict on the team, and career conversations where the honest answer is "not yet." We use a structured preparation template that reduces the anxiety managers feel before these talks.
- Four half-day sessions (8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.), one per week
- Between-session assignments with written facilitator feedback
- Coaching conversation recording and playback (with consent)
- Post-program 60-minute individual debrief call
Leadership self-assessment (360 feedback)
This is not a personality quiz. Our 360-degree assessment collects structured feedback from each participant's direct reports, peers, and manager on 28 specific behaviours grouped into five categories: communication clarity, decision quality, team development, conflict handling, and strategic thinking.
The survey takes respondents about 12 minutes. We handle all the distribution, reminders, and anonymisation. Each participant receives a 14-page report comparing their self-ratings against the aggregated ratings from others, with gap analysis highlighted in plain language.
The half-day debrief session is where the real value sits. A facilitator walks each participant through their results in a small group setting (four people maximum), helping them identify the two or three gaps that matter most. By the end of the session, every participant has written three concrete goals with measurable indicators and a 90-day timeline.
- Online survey distributed to 8–15 raters per participant
- 14-page individual feedback report
- Half-day facilitated debrief in groups of four
- Written goal-setting template with 90-day milestones
- Optional: one-hour private coaching call to discuss sensitive results
Custom team programs
When an organisation has a specific challenge, a catalogue program may not be the right fit. We design custom engagements that combine elements from our existing programs with new content tailored to the client's situation.
Recent examples: a logistics company asked us to build a three-day program for newly promoted supervisors who had never managed people before. We combined coaching skills content with a module on shift-scheduling conflict that was specific to their warehouse environment. A healthcare network wanted their clinical managers to improve how they run interdisciplinary team meetings, so we observed actual meetings, identified patterns, and designed a two-session intervention with follow-up observation.
Custom programs start with a scoping call (free, about 45 minutes) where we learn what is happening, what you have already tried, and what success would look like. We then send a written proposal within five business days. Design timelines vary, but most custom programs are ready to deliver within four to six weeks of approval.
- Free 45-minute scoping call
- Written proposal within five business days
- Content designed around your team's real scenarios
- Delivery in-person or virtual, on your preferred schedule
- Post-program impact survey and summary report

Frequently asked questions
Can I attend virtually instead of in person?
Yes. Every program is available in a live virtual format using video conferencing. The content and exercises are the same; we adapt the simulations and role-plays for a screen-based environment. Virtual sessions use the same schedule as in-person ones.
What happens if I need to cancel?
Cancellations made more than 14 days before the start date receive a full refund minus a $75 administrative fee. If you cancel within 14 days, we offer a credit toward a future session. We do not offer cash refunds for late cancellations.
Do you offer programs in French?
All of our facilitators are bilingual. Programs can be delivered entirely in French, entirely in English, or in a bilingual format where participants use whichever language they prefer during exercises. Course materials are available in both languages.
How far in advance should I book?
Public cohorts fill up about four to six weeks before the start date. For custom programs, we recommend reaching out at least six weeks before your preferred delivery date to allow time for design and preparation.
Is there a certificate?
Participants who complete a full program receive a certificate of completion from Insightful Management Path. Our programs are not accredited by a university, but several past participants have used the certificate as evidence of professional development for their employer or professional association.
